Reputation, reviews and levels

How reputation is earned and lost, which categories are rated, why reviews only add, and what each level unlocks.

Reviewed on

Reputation is DomBound’s core of trust. It is not a like or a popularity score: it summarises what you have done with the people you have been with.

How it is earned

By delivering, essentially:

How it is lost

The categories rated

A recommendation is not a single loose star: it is rated across measurable categories, different depending on each person’s role:

Communication · Direction · Respect for limits · Punctuality · Delivery · Compliance

From those comes the 1 to 5 scale shown on profiles, which weighs on how you appear in Explore, on the wall and in challenges.

Why reviews only add

Because a reputation that can be destroyed out of revenge stops measuring behaviour and starts measuring conflicts. On DomBound a recommendation contributes more or less depending on the rating, but never subtracts. What subtracts are verifiable facts, not opinions.

Writing one, you will see the rule: be constructive. And the reminder that it is your recommendation after a real experience.

Levels

Your level gates what you can do to others:

It is a deliberate barrier against empty profiles: validating someone’s check or signing a review carries weight, and someone who has put nothing of themselves in does not have that weight yet.

Showing it or not

Under My account → Reputation you can switch «Show my reputation» on or off. It is always calculated; what you decide is whether it appears on your public profile.

Frequently asked questions

Can a bad review sink me?

There are no negative reviews: they only add. A low rating contributes less than a high one, but never subtracts. What does subtract are facts: breaches, voluntarily abandoning a chastity, failing what was agreed.

Can I review anyone?

Reviews follow a real experience, a sustained bond. And you need level 2, which you reach by completing your profile.

Can I hide my reputation?

You can decide whether it shows on your public profile. It is still calculated internally: what you choose is whether it is displayed.

Someone left me an unfair review.

You can report it. Reviews are subject to the same rules as everything else: constructive, about facts, no abuse.
