After Locktober: how to come out of a month in chastity
By DomBound · · 4 min read
Everyone talks about the month in chastity; almost nobody talks about the day after. And that is where it is decided whether the month was an experience or just a story to tell.
Here is what usually happens when the lock comes off, in your body and in your head, and how to close it properly. If you have just read how to get through the month, this is the last part.
Your body: a few odd days, and that is normal
The first surprise is that things do not snap back to normal. For a few days it is common to notice:
- High sensitivity, sometimes uncomfortable, even from clothing.
- Night erections that feel stronger than usual, after a month held back.
- Marks or irritated skin where the device sat.
- And often a first orgasm that is not what you expected: either far more intense or frankly disappointing. Both are common and neither means anything.
Skin recovers on its own in a few days with the basics: wash, dry properly, let it breathe.
What is not normal, and is worth separating from the rest: pain that does not settle, swelling, numb areas that stay numb after a few hours, colour changes or open sores. That is not something to ask a forum about or wait out: that is a doctor. Saying so is not killing the mood; it is that nothing here is worth an injury.
Your head: the next-day dip
For a month you had structure: a clear rule, a daily action and someone on the other side. On 1 November all of that disappears at once, and it is common to feel oddly flat — even after something you enjoyed.
It does not mean the month went badly. It means something that organised your days has ended, and that registers. It usually passes quickly, and it helps to:
- Not make big decisions that day. Neither “never again” nor “next year we do three months”. Both sentences come from the same place and neither is a plan.
- Talk to whoever held the key, even briefly. The two of you did the month; do the ending too.
- Give it a couple of days before judging the whole experience.
Closing it: the conversation almost nobody has
It is the part most often skipped and the one that decides whether there is a next time. No ceremony needed: an honest twenty minutes is enough.
Four questions that work:
- What worked? Be specific: the daily check, the tone of the messages, a rule that turned out better than expected.
- What dragged? Week 3, almost certainly. Knowing where it stalled is what improves the next one.
- What was missing? Usually presence. The most common failure is not being too strict — it is disappearing.
- Is there a next time, and what changes? This is where you find out whether it was an October game or the start of a dynamic.
If there was a bad day, bring it into the conversation without drama. The month is judged whole, not by its worst night.
If you want to carry on
There are two ways to continue, and it is worth knowing which one you are choosing.
By agreement: you sit down again, decide duration, rules and exits, and start a new period with an end date. That is the one that works.
By inertia: nobody says anything, the lock stays on and the days keep running. It looks the same and it is not: a dynamic nobody decided is the one that breaks in December, with resentment attached.
If the answer to “do we carry on?” is yes, make it a yes said out loud, with its terms written down. It is covered in how to negotiate a D/s dynamic.
And if you decide not to
Perfectly valid. You tried something for a month, you did what you said you would do, and now you know something about yourself you did not know before. That is not a failure: it is exactly what doing things with an end date is for.
On DomBound your chastity history does not vanish when the lock comes off: total time, periods and your record stay there, and the module is ready whenever you decide there is a next time. You can see how the platform works or read how to prepare a period.
DomBound is the social network for men who live D/s for real: encrypted dynamics, consent first.
