DomBound’s communities are identities: leather, bear, pup, uniform and so on. Labels that say how you identify, not places to join.
Worth being clear about: they are not groups. No chat, no admin, no Telegram channel, no access to request. Nobody admits you to — or throws you out of — being leather.
How to pick them
Under Edit profile, section Communities. Tick the ones that fit you —as many as you want— and save. They appear on your profile as neutral tags, next to your attributes.
Changing them is just as easy and carries no consequence: you lose no history, no reputation, no connections.
What they are actually for
So that the right people find you. Two concrete uses:
- On your profile, they say something about you that a description would need a paragraph for.
- In the Grid, there is a filter by community: someone looking for leather people can narrow down to those profiles. That filter is part of the advanced filters in DomBound+.
Why they are optional
Because not everyone fits a tribe, and forcing it would be false. You can have a complete profile, reach level 2 and use the whole platform without ticking a single one.
They are there for those who want them, not as one more requirement.
Frequently asked questions
Are they groups I join?
No. They have no chat, no admin, no Telegram, and there is no permission to request. They are labels describing how you identify, like saying you are leather or pup.
Do I have to pick one?
No. They are optional and not needed for the level 2 reward. Not everyone sees themselves in a tribe, and leaving it empty costs you nothing.
Can I pick several?
Yes, and change them whenever you like from Edit profile.
So what are they for?
So like-minded people find you: they show on your profile and the Grid lets you filter by them.
