Create your account and choose a role

Signing up has three steps and takes under a minute. Speed is not the point: two of those steps are decisions you carry with you afterwards.

Step 1 — Create your access

Three things:

• Email — only for logging in and recovering your account. Shown to no one.
• Password — at least 6 characters.
• Public alias — the name everyone sees you by. No spaces and none of these characters: / ? # %.

Keep that password safe. It is not only for logging in: it encrypts your conversations. If you lose it, your encrypted messages cannot be recovered — not by support, not by us. That is the price of real end-to-end encryption, and it is intentional.

Step 2 — Choose your role

Three options:

• Dom — you set tasks and run dynamics.
• Sub — you receive tasks and follow dynamics.
• Switch — you pick your role every day.

Choose carefully: it does not change on the fly. Changing it later means asking support. If what you want is to alternate depending on the day, that is exactly what Switch is for — not a role change.

Step 3 — Confirm age and terms

You confirm you are over 18 and accept the terms and the privacy policy. Both boxes are required. DomBound cancels accounts that break the age condition.

After signing up

You land straight on your panel. What to do next, in this order:

1. Complete your profile — photo, description and preferences.
2. Install the app on your home screen.
3. Turn on notifications, so a task or a check never slips past you.
