Submitting a task, validating it or disputing it

The full cycle: assigned, submitted, validated or to redo. What happens when a task expires, and what disputing means.

Reviewed on

The cycle

Every task runs through the same states:

Assigned → Submitted → Validated

With two possible detours: To redo (back to pending) and Disputed.

Submitting (sub)

  1. Open the task from your panel or from Tasks → My tasks.
  2. Prepare the submission according to its type: confirm, text (with the minimum word count if required), photo (with «Take photo», camera in the moment) or audio/video («Record»).
  3. Press «Submit».

It sits «Under review» until your Dom looks at it — unless the task does not require validation, in which case it validates itself.

Validating (Dom)

On a submitted task you have two buttons:

And if it simply was not done: «Not completed», which marks it as missed and triggers the attached punishment if there is one.

Expired tasks

Past the deadline, the task is flagged «Expired» — and stays pending. That is deliberate: a missed deadline is a failure, not an escape hatch. The task remains until it is submitted or closed.

Disputing

If your Dom marks a task as not done and you disagree, you have «Dispute». The task is logged as disputed, a state of its own, separate from completed and from missed.

It is not a button for wriggling out: it is that a record only one party can write is not a record, it is a version. Listings show all three counts: Completed, Missed and Disputed.

Submission photos

Submission photos and videos are view-once by default: your Dom sees them once and afterwards they show as photo already viewed.

That way the proof does what it is for without becoming an indefinite archive of your intimacy.

Who validated it

On a check or a submission that has been validated you can open «Who validated»: a window with the photo, role and alias of everyone who accepted it, and a separate mark if it was your Dom.

It is not decoration. Seeing who shows up when you deliver is what turns a contact list into a community, and it tells you who to trust next time.

Frequently asked questions

I missed the deadline. Does the task disappear?

No. An expired task stays pending and is flagged «Expired». The deadline passing does not release you from doing it; it only adds the breach.

What does «Redo» mean?

That your Dom saw the submission and did not accept it. The task goes back to pending, in «To redo», and can be submitted again.

What is disputing?

Your right to disagree when a task is marked as not done and you do not accept that. It is logged as disputed, which is distinct from completed and from missed.

Why can't I take the photo from my computer?

Photo submissions are captured with the camera there and then, not uploaded from a gallery. If the device has no camera, the app asks you to do it from your phone.
