Assign a task

The task is the basic unit of a dynamic: a concrete assignment, with submission and validation. It is created from Tasks → New task, or straight from the conversation with «Tools» → Assign task.

What you decide

For — which sub. Only those you have a bond with appear.

Title and description — what has to be done, unambiguously. Half the conflicts around a task come from a vague statement.

Submission type — how it is proven:

• Confirm — marking it done is enough.
• Text — a written report. You can require a minimum word count.
• Photo — with the camera, there and then.
• Audio/video — recorded from the app.

Requires my validation — on, you sign it off. Off, the sub marks it done and it validates itself.

Deadline — the cut-off date and time.

Recurrence — One-off, Daily or Weekly, with an optional end date. A recurring task creates a template and generates instances, each with its own submission. You can stop the recurrence at any point without deleting what is already done.

Punishment if not completed — optional. You pick one of your punishment templates; if you have none, create it first in New punishment and save it as a template. That way a breach has a consequence agreed in advance instead of improvised.

The limit warnings

When you pick the practice and intensity, the app compares them with what that sub declared in My practices and warns you:

• Soft limit — it sits in his «carefully» zone.
• Exceeds his preference — it goes past the intensity he marked.
• Anything under a hard limit cannot be assigned.

These warnings are not an obstacle: they are the information that makes directing actual directing rather than guessing. Pushing a soft limit may be exactly the point — but knowing you are doing it.

Where to follow it

Under Tasks you have «Tasks I assign» with their status: Assigned, Submitted, Validated, Disputed. And on your panel, the pending badge shows only what is yours to do according to your role: as a Dom, what is submitted and waiting for your validation.
