Switch: your role of the day
If you signed up as a switch, each day you choose which role you act in. It is fixed until the next day.

Switch is not «a bit of both at the same time». On DomBound it is a daily decision.
How it works
Each day when you come in you will see «How are you acting today?»:
Choose the role you are acting in today. It is fixed until tomorrow: you will not be able to change it during the day.
You pick Dom or sub and it is marked as fixed until tomorrow.
Why it is fixed
Because other people depend on that decision. If you were a Dom this morning and assigned tasks, and by mid-afternoon you become a sub, who validates those submissions? The day as the minimum unit is what makes alternating compatible with real dynamics.
What does not change
- Your full history, in both roles.
- Your reputation and your reviews, which accumulate per role.
- Your existing bonds.
Changing your registration role
If you signed up as a Dom or a sub and want to become a switch (or the other way round), it is not done from settings: under Edit profile you have «Change role», which sends a request to support with your reason.
Roles do not change on their own: ask support and we will review it. Your reputation and reviews are kept.
The friction is intentional: your role affects matching, history and reputation, and a free change button would turn all of that into noise.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change it mid-afternoon?
No. You choose once and it is fixed until tomorrow. The reason is that a dynamic changing direction mid-afternoon is not a dynamic: it is a mess for everyone depending on you that day.
What about my tasks in the opposite role?
They still exist. What changes is how you act and what you are shown that day; the history is untouched.
I signed up as a sub and want to alternate. Can I become a switch?
Your registration role only changes by asking support, from Edit profile → «Change role». Your reputation and reviews are kept.
