Nobody writes to you without your agreement. How requests work and how to close a conversation without blocking anyone.

DomBound’s chat is not an open inbox. It is consented at the door: a conversation exists because both sides wanted it.
Receiving a request
When someone wants to talk to you, a request arrives with their first message. You can:
- Accept — the conversation opens and you can write normally.
- Ignore — it does not open. You owe no explanation.
While you do not reply, the sender sees waiting for them to accept your request.
«Not interested»
Inside an open conversation you have «Not interested». It is the step before blocking, meant for cutting things off without drama.
- The other person sees you have indicated you are not interested in this conversation.
- It is reversible: you can withdraw it whenever you want.
- It affects nothing else: you still see each other on the platform.
If they insist anyway, that is where blocking or reporting comes in — and insisting after a stated limit is precisely one of the reasons to report.
Official conversations
If you ever see a conversation marked «Official» — DomBound · Moderation, that is the moderation team with a verified identity. It only appears if there is an open case involving you. Nobody else can present themselves that way: anyone writing from a normal conversation claiming to be «from the team» is not.
What is visible about you
In your chat settings you control two things:
- Show read receipts — whether others see that you have read.
- Show when I am online — whether others see your presence and last seen.
Both can be switched off.
Frequently asked questions
Can someone write to me without my accepting?
No. They can send you a request with a first message; until you accept it, the conversation does not open.
What is the difference between «not interested» and blocking?
«Not interested» is a clear, reversible signal inside one conversation: the other person sees it and that is that. Blocking cuts the whole relationship: you stop seeing each other on the platform.
If I mark «not interested», do they find out?
Yes, and that is deliberate. They will see you are not interested in that conversation. It is more honest than silence and it stops the insisting.
Can I change my mind?
Yes. You can withdraw it whenever you want.
