Sensitive content

Marking a photo as +18 (explicit) does two things: it is shown blurred to anyone who has not asked to see it, and it cannot be the main photo.

The reason is simple: the main photo appears in Explore and next to your activity. It is the shop window, and explicit content does not go in the shop window for people who did not go looking for it.

As a viewer, under Settings → Sensitive content you decide: with «Show NSFW photos unblurred» on you see them directly; off, they are blurred and you reveal them by tapping.

Automatic review

When you upload a photo you will see «Analysing…». All of them go through automatic content classification before publication:

It is an image analysis service: it does not train artificial intelligence on your photos, does not store your IP and does not keep images beyond the period stated in the privacy policy.

Privacy of the photos you share

Under My account → Photo privacy you have «Temporary photos»: the photos you share — face shots or ordinary ones — are seen once and delete themselves. It is on by default, and you can switch it off if you do not need that privacy.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to show my face?

No. Your profile photo does not need to show your face. What you do need is at least one photo to complete your profile.

Why can't an explicit photo be the main one?

Because the main photo appears in Explore, on the wall and next to your actions. Explicit content is not pushed at anyone who has not asked to see it.

What does «Under review» mean?

That automatic classification flagged the photo as borderline. It goes to review before being published.

Can I see photos without blurring?

Yes, in Settings → Sensitive content you can switch on «Show NSFW photos unblurred». Off, they are blurred and you reveal them by tapping.
